• If you sign up to a Paid Session, the instructor running that Session will receive your name and email address solely for the purposes of facilitating the Session — including ensuring you are informed of any relevant terms, safety requirements, or health considerations.
• Content you post or upload to Forium Sessions relating to activities and sessions will be visible to other Forium Sessions users.
• Where we use member data for business purposes, we will aggregate and anonymise it first.
• We will not release your personal contact details to third parties except as set out in this Policy.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

When you register for and use Forium Sessions, you may choose to share personal information with us, including:

• Name, email address, physical address, date of birth, and gender
• Profile photo and other images
• Activity data including date, time, and geo-location
• Equipment details and session participation
• Comments, messages, and other content you post
• Payment information when making purchases (processed securely via certified third-party providers — we do not store card details)

Information Collected Automatically

When you use the app, Buccaneer automatically collects:

• Device location (if you enable Location Services — you can disable this via your device settings at any time)
• Device and network information
• Cookies and log files
• Usage data via third-party analytics services

Information From Third Parties

We may obtain additional information about you from third parties such as marketing partners, researchers, and service providers. We may combine this with information we have already collected.

In the future, Forium Sessions may allow you to sign in using third-party accounts such as Google or Facebook. If you choose to do so, those services may share information with us (such as your name, email address, and profile preferences) under their own privacy policies. You can control what is shared via your settings in those accounts.

Contacts

If you use features that connect you with your contacts, Forium Sessions will access and store your contacts' information only to the extent necessary to provide those features.

Children

Within Forium Sessions

Updating Your Information

You can review, correct, or update your account information at any time via your account settings.

Deleting Your Account

You can request deletion of your personal information by contacting us at hello@buccaneersessions.com. Once your account is deactivated, it cannot be reinstated and your account and activities will not be recoverable.

Please note that content you have shared with others, or that others have copied or exported, may remain visible after deletion. We may also retain certain information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our policies.

When you delete your account, personal identifiers such as your email address, name, physical address, and profile photo will be promptly removed. However, your activities, sessions, notes, and comments will remain on the platform. We may also retain system logs associated with the deactivated account.

Location Data

You can disable location tracking at any time through your device settings under Location Services.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as it is necessary for our operations. Information that is no longer needed will be de-identified or securely disposed of. We may retain certain data from closed accounts to comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, or assist with investigations.

International Data Transfers

Forium Sessions is operated from the United Kingdom. If you access the app from outside the UK, your information will be transferred to, processed, and stored in the UK. By using the app, you acknowledge and consent to this.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version in the app. For significant changes, we will provide prominent notice. Continued use of the app after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy. If you do not agree with any changes, you may deactivate your account.
