Sunnymead (River Cherwell)

From the carpark you will need to walk through the park with your kit to launch from the riverbank. From our experience, down stream offers the most scenic paddle. Vicky Arms pub, then onwards to Wolfson College and the Cherwell Boathouse. If you fancy a longer paddle, go past Cherwell Boathouse, along past University Parks (J.R.R Tolkien Bench on the way) to Parsons Pleasure Bathing Place and the ‘rollers’. You’ll need to port your kit around the rollers and join up the Cherwell again which will bring you nicely to Magdalen Bridge! Epic way to see Oxford.
