    About

Solva is a beautiful harbour village near the westernmost tip of South Wales. It has a distinctive deep glacial harbour mouth with its sea bed of golden sand visible through crystal clear water (when the tide is in) Stunning walks, to the north to the Iron Age hillfort and south on the Gribin headland to Gwadn beach Solva is an epic location for Kayaking and Stand-up paddle boarding. It gets super busy at peak holiday times so get there early to get parked. If you are planning on any kind of sea adventure, check the tide times the natural harbour runs pretty much dry at low tide. The estuary is however, completely walkable at low tide so don’t panic if you get the tide is a bit wrong. There are tonnes of interesting rock formations and coves to explore by boat, kayak or paddleboard. At the mouth of the estuary leading to Solva is an epic little beach (Gwadn) that can only be reached by a brisk walk over the Gribin headland or from the water so it never gets too busy. In front of Gwadn beach is the hilariously named St Elvis Rock. Great for exploring via SUP, Kayak or snorkel. Loads of food and refreshment options in the village
