Loch Molich Sailing Club

    About

Located in a fantastic setting at the foot of the Cairngorm Mountains, Loch Morlich Sailing Club offers one of the most scenic areas in the country for dinghy sailing. New Members are always welcome and membership includes use of the Clubhouse and facilities along with use of the Club owned boats on a first come basis (Wayfarer, Enterprise, 3 x Toppers, 2 x Lasers, 3 x Optimists plus an open canoe.) Membership also includes storage of your own boat in the dinghy park. Club Email: info@lochmorlichsailingclub.org.uk Members are welcome to sail and make use of the facilities on the Loch at anytime but please note, there is not always a safety boat and crew on call except at organised sessions. If you are happy to sail without rescue cover then it is at your own risk. If you are a RYA Level 2 Powerboat Certificate holder you could be added to the drivers list after an assessment has been carried out. There are basic facilities at the Clubhouse including changing areas, toilets, a kitchen area with gas cooker but we have no mains power or water so drinking water should be bought with you. The Club is also used by local outdoor centres but most members use the facility at the weekends, usually on a Sunday so may I suggest arranging to come along for a look around and to meet up prior to joining. During the summer you’ll most likely to find members at the Clubhouse at weekends. Racing takes place on 2nd Sunday each month, May - Sept but informal racing can be arranged at any time when there is enough interest. Have a look at the information available on www.lochmorlichsailingclub.org.uk or contant us on Club Email: info@lochmorlichsailingclub.org.uk Parking: Plentiful - can be busy on a lovely day! Refreshment: Great wee cafe selling drinks and snacks.
