About
Gwynver is renowned for its excellent surfing conditions, drawing skilled surfers to its consistently large waves. Lifeguards are on duty during the summer months, and visitors are advised to consult them before entering the water.
Gwynver Beach, located north of Sennen Cove, is a hidden gem of golden sands and turquoise waters.
This unspoiled Cornish haven, part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is nestled between rugged granite cliffs and can only be reached by a challenging path through the sand dunes. The beach’s right side is marked by Aire Point, a rocky headland crossed by the South West Coast Path. This trail offers breathtaking views of Cape Cornwall, the cliffs, and even the Isles of Scilly on clear days.
Lifeguard cover: May to September 2023.
Parking: A small car park is available above the beach, with additional parking at Sennen Cove.
