The river access here leads on to the Thames. Paddlers are able to access the River Brent easily from here. The put in point also marks part of The Bliss Canoe Trail, An 862 mile circumnavigation of the inland waterways of Britain. This trail was first described in a book titled "Canoeing" by William bliss in 1934
