Branksome Chine Pipes

    About

    A wide, sandy beach backed by a promenade. All facilites including beach huts, shop, bar and restaurant. Good disabled access and a safe swim zone. Branksome Chine is similar to Sandbanks but works better when there’s more westerly in the wind giving cross-shore sailing. Occasionally it picks up the swell quicker too.

    Dive Location Features

    There are 2 surface water pipes that run out in Parallel that run out sea perpendicular to the beach. These are in use after heavy rainfall (Do Not Dive as could be surface sewage) Small pipe is surrounded by small/medium rocks, where the large pipe is supported by concrete slabs. This creates 2 long reefs providing a perfect home for sea life. The pipes are about 100m long, extremely easy to navigate, making it a perfect shore dive for divers of all abilities.
