About
There are two beaches we have listed Aberfforest the beach formally named Aberfforest is on the left but the absolute gem we have mapped is one the right not formally labeled on google maps but the path that leads down to the beach is called Cwm Rhigian on an OS map
The is quiet a rural beach it's located a 2km west of Newport Sands. It is protected by headlands to either side making it a good spot for a high tide swim.
Aberfforest beach is largely shingle, although as the tide goes out it does become sandy
Following the wooded valley the river Fforest runs down. It's worth making the short walk up the river valley to a small waterfall.
The beach is accessible from the Pembrokshire Coast Path of there is a sort of direct route to the beach from the A487 through the woods.
